About Jaintia Institute of Technology
Jaintia Institute of Technology is an Institute of Computer Education & Skills Training Centre providing various long and short term courses in Information Technology. Established on February 20, 2018, the institute is registered under the Societies Registration Act XII of 1983, Government of Meghalaya (Regd No: NO.SR/WJH/JIT-1832/15).
As an ISO registered institution and approved center for Computer Training Courses, JIT has successfully trained numerous youths in IT courses (both Software & Hardware), along with special coaching programs under government projects and other skill development initiatives.
The institute's headquarters is located at Kynruh Saphlang Iawmusiang, Jowai, West Jaintia Hills District, Meghalaya-793150.
On September 25, 2019, Jaintia Institute of Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Kiang Nangbah Government College, Jowai to conduct Certificate Vocational Computer Courses sponsored by Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), MHRD, Government of India under the "Equity Initiatives" scheme.
The courses offered include: Desktop Publishing, Microsoft Office, Accounting in Tally ERP, Data Entry Operator, and Basic Web Designing. The training was conducted at Kiang Nangbah Govt. College in collaboration with Jaintia Institute of Technology.
On April 14, 2022, Jaintia Institute of Technology was recognized by Meghalaya State Skills Development Society (Skills Meghalaya), Department of Labour, Government of Meghalaya as a Local Training Partner/Skills Training Provider (Empanelled No: 0106012).
Jaintia Institute of Technology has been approved by the National Career Service Centre, Directorate General of Employment, Government of India to conduct the Special Coaching Scheme for SC/ST candidates in Jowai. This scheme benefits the youth of Jaintia Hills District and was conducted at Kiang Nangbah Govt. College in collaboration with JIT.
